Willa Cather pilgrimage
Her house, from age 10 to when she moved away as a young woman. She had a tiny room in the attic.
Anybody else a Willa Cather fan? I grew up reading her and have finally managed this week to make a pilgrimage to her house in Nebraska. There is a foundation there dedicated to her and they have done such amazing things with that little town; basically bought and preserved like 15 buildings that anything to do with her life and I got a private 2 hour tour of a bunch of them for $26 and accidentally met the real My Antonia’s granddaughter. (I didn’t know who she was and we talked about the weather.) Wow! Best nerdy day ever here.
